We take ethical eyecare very seriously.
All of our optometrists have committed to the following code of conduct to ensure that you are always treated fairly.
The Associate Optometrist shall:
- Put the best interests of the patient ahead of all other considerations.
- Answer all patients’ questions and queries fully and honestly.
- Sincerely endeavour to meet the patient’s needs in the most cost-effective way possible.
- Ensure that the patient is placed in a position to make informed decisions.
- Address all complaints sympathetically and take all reasonable steps to resolve such complaints to the patient’s satisfaction.
- Never supply any product or service that the patient does not reasonably need or meet a patient need with a more expensive product or service where there are more cost effective alternatives available.
- Never misrepresent any product or service to the patient.
- Never advance cash to any person in lieu of a Specsfin loan.
- Never accept any payment from any person on behalf of Specsfin.
This code of conduct may be updated from time to time in Specsfin’s sole discretion.
